Another semester down, and I’m unwinding by doing a little bit of painting.
I’m not sure why, but I’m drawn to painting red pears. With any luck, I’ll also be able to squeeze some writing in before the next semester begins.

I love it! If I saw that somewhere I would buy it. Then again, I’m oddly drawn to pears, even though I don’t like eating them. I have a giant metal pear sitting on my bookcase.
You know we’re a big fan of your pears over here!
You PAINTED that?! Man. Some people have all the talent.
(If you also knit, dance and bake well, don’t mention it. ;))
Thanks to everyone for your kind compliments!
Why do you think red pears in particular? I thought they always came in the green variety! Digging the painting though- do whatcha gotta do to unwind!
I’m actually not sure… I’ve done a few green pears, but something about the red ones stands out. Maybe it’s that they’re less common.
Marc– thanks for subscribing to my blog! Awesome one you’ve got going here. The snow is fantastic. 😉
No problem! I look forward to seeing where you go with your writing!
WOW!!!!!!! That’s gorgeous!!!!! And I love its attitude, like: “Hey! I’m a beautiful pear! Deal with it!!”
Thanks, Robin! I was checking out some of your artwork earlier today, and love it — especially “Self, Contained” and “Don’t Show Me Your Nudes.” And “Breathe” is amazing, too. (For anyone reading this, check out Robin’s work here: http://www.redbubble.com/people/myopeseyes/portfolio)
Oh, my gosh! How kind of you!
MANY thanks!!!
((hugs))
I love this! Where are you going to hang it?
That one went to my mother as a Christmas gift.
