As you may have guessed from the lack of posts on my blog lately, I’m gearing up for another semester of teaching. This semester, I’m trying to put together a few mini-lessons on writing for an online section of ENG 101 that I picked up at the last minute. Here’s a lesson on effective titles that I’ve been working on for the past couple of days. With any luck, I’ll get better with practice and start knocking these out a little more quickly!

The titles to my blog posts are usually not that good, so even though this is for essays I will add a magic colon to every title from now on. I might add six for good measure…starting with Friday’s post. I wish I was in one of your classes.

I love this! I wish there were more Marc Schusters teaching. In today’s world, young people’s brains come pre-wired and techno enhanced, and sometimes the old-fashion way doesn’t get the point across anymore, but this is genius!

If I had someone like you as a teacher when i was in school, I may have learned how to write. Did you create the graphics too? They are just as great as the lesson.
