Okay, so they absolutely hated The Singular Exploits of Wonder Mom and Party Girl, but Publishers Weekly had some kind things to say about The Grievers, including, “the dialogue throughout is pitch-perfect, there’s a laugh on nearly every page, and Schuster’s crystal-clear prose shimmers.”
I’m very pleased!

Congrats!
Thanks!
I’m pleased too because I have bought The Grievers – just waiting for a break in transmission (aka a little quiet time in my life!) to read it!! 🙂
I hope you enjoy it!
What a lovely accolade! Well done. 🙂
Thank you! I appreciate the comment.
Excellent!
Thanks, Charles! Much appreciated!
Way to go, Marc! :-]
Thanks, Frank!
Glad to hear it!
Thank you, Joe!
What? How could anyone hate Wonder Mom/Party Girl? Sheesh. Congrats on this review. The good parts are well deserved!
No accounting for taste, I suppose! Here’s how I dealt with it: http://marcschuster.wordpress.com/2011/02/21/some-good-words-from-kirkus-reviews/
Cool!
Thanks! I was very happy to read that review.
Brilliant! At some publishers I’ve worked for, when we got reviews as good as this we printed a sticker and put it on the cover. I don’t mean to disturb the elegance of the cover, but in book stores these things can help a lot, they lift your book out from the crowd. Just an idea.
Great idea… I’ll drop a line to my publisher to see if it’s a possibility. Thanks for the advice!
Congratulations and all the best!
Thank you very much!
Congrats! That is high praise coming from them. 🙂
Thanks, Kourtney!
