Call It Christmastime

Hi Friends… I have a new song out today. It’s a holiday song. Or perhaps it’s more accurate to call it a holiday-ish song. Or maybe an anti-holiday song. Let’s just say it’s holiday-adjacent.

Here’s are the lyrics in case you want to sing along:

I suppose it’s Christmas again,
Or so they’ve been saying since Halloween.
Get back in the Black Friday spirit, my friends,
And rev up that money machine.

We’ll raise a glass and ho-ho-ho
And sing for auld lang syne.
We’ll ring some bells and spend some dough
And call it Christmastime.

Peace on Earth is trending today,
But patience is pretty thin on the ground
Pushing and shoving folks out of the way
‘Cause Santa is coming to town.

But raise a glass and ho-ho-ho
And sing for auld lang syne.
We’ll ring some bells and spend some dough
And call it Christmastime.

I suppose I’m being a drag
For bringing you down on the holidays.
Just for today, I’ll wave a white flag
And put on my best Christmas face.

We’ll raise a glass and ho-ho-ho
And sing for auld lang syne.
We’ll kiss beneath the mistletoe
And call it Christmastime.

  1. This pretty accurately matches my overall holiday mood as well, Marc.

  2. Sad times all around.
