If you have forty-five seconds to spare today, check out “I Know This More than Anyone” by Inland Years. It has what I’d describe as a Merseybeat feel like a classic Beatles tune. Or maybe something a little more akin to Chad and Jeremy or Peter and Gordon. The sound is big and roomy, almost like a live recording (in the Cavern Club, perhaps), but an insistent mandolin cuts through, giving the track a folky feel. It’s from their new album Nowadays, which is due sometime in July, so keep an eye out for it.
