I’m incredibly disappointed in last night’s election results and honestly feel the way I feel when I find out someone I know and care about has died. I could get into why the results are bad from humane, economic, and pragmatic perspectives, but I’m guessing I’d be preaching to the choir. And if you’re not part of the choir, please don’t talk to me for a long time. I’m beyond disappointed in you. Frankly, I’m quite angry.
That said, I’ve deleted my Facebook and Twitter accounts. I still have my Instagram and Threads accounts, but I’m not sure how much longer they’ll last. If you want to find me, drop me a line. People who know me have my email address, and people who don’t can use the contact form on this blog to get in touch.
An episode of the Tweetcore Radio Hour is scheduled for tonight at 7PM EST. I’m not in much of a mood to promote it, but I feel like I owe it to the artists whose music I’m playing to get the word out. If you recognize any of the names below, let them know I’ll be playing their music tonight and share this link with them: https://live365.com/station/AMS-Radio-a15527

You’ve taken the words right out of my own mouth, Marc, and I’m both happy and grateful you’re on the same page as me about this. I know it’s probably wrong to feel enmity towards those who voted for an odious, vulgar, corrupt psychopath as the leader of our country yet again, but like you, it’s quite simply how I feel.
Though we’ve never had the pleasure to meet one another in person, I consider you a dear friend and will definitely continue to keep in contact with you.
I feel the same way, Jeff. I’m glad we can be here for each other and for other like-minded people.
I’m absolutely furious with our country.
I know it’s been said, but but, yes, unless our system was hacked, I am stunned that most people in this country willingly voted in a convicted felon, and one who still has numerous other felonious court cases still pending. A convicted felon! One who says whatever he needs to say to get groups to do his bidding. One who has zero moral character! “Economy” is one thing, CHARACTER is everything. As has been proven in court, he is a vile, corrupt individual. Politicians can behave criminally, but here we have a criminal behaving politically.
We’re living in a frigging nightmare.
I came close to killing my Facebook account, deactivated it, but after a week came back…silently. Have not interacted at all on it. I’m still pondering how to deal with it. I killed my Twitter account when Musk took it over. As to writing and selling books? Again, I’ve lost interest in dealing with the public at large. The cons I go to are predominately not republicans, but not wholly. I just don’t care to interact with people when there’s a good chance that they voted for the vile individual who is set to take office.
Yes, by the same token, you can’t really not interact with the world in today’s society. So I’m at a loss at what to do. All who voted for him will soon see what the “bought,” and you do get what you pay for.
Rock on, Marc. I’m glad we’re of the same mindset.
I’m right there with you, Frank. And you’re right. Character is everything. And the election speaks very ill of the nation’s character right now.
