I’d been working on the lyrics for this song for a while when the election happened. It kind of matched my mood, so I recorded a demo to distract myself. My favorite line is the one about having each other. Right now, it’s what I’m trying to focus on.

Besides my loved ones, I no longer know what “having each other” means in our country today. I think that “hole” in the boat has turned into a sinkable tear. Sorry for the darkness, but I’m really uncertain as to how I’m going to interact with what has become of our nation. I’m appalled. I wish you and yours peace. Wish this world peace.
