The Turnaround

I’ve been a little down lately, given all that’s going on in the world. Fortunately, my buddies Jim Lorino and Nick Cervini are always there to help me look on the bright side. Case in point, “The Turnaround,” a song Jim wrote for our band, Delcobras. Inspired by Trea Turner and the Netflix documentary The Turnaround, it’s a song, as the title suggests, about making the best of a bad situation and putting your best foot forward. It’s our first song under the Delcobras name, and I’d love for you to give it a listen. It just might brighten your day!

  1. I’ve been so despondent and furious over the past few weeks that I can barely function at times. It feels that our democracy is slipping away, and between the cowardly and compliant Rethuglicans and the hapless and leaderless Democras, things seem pretty hopeless. Thankfully, we have musicians like you guys to help brighten our day, and “The Turnaround” is a dose of joyous levity. I’m including it in my latest edition of Fresh New Tracks, which I’ll publish tomorrow.

    1. These are definitely dispiriting times, but I’m glad our song could give you a little bit of a smile. Looking forward to reading tomorrow’s Fresh New Tracks!

  2. Love it! Great tune to get lost in, Marc! You certainly do fit right in. Yeah, trying to avoid the news these days. Checks and balances not only in government but in the population. He can only do what people allow him to do. Let’s hope more keep pushing back.

    1. Thanks, Frank. I’m definitely hoping for more of that pushback!
