Just quick note to say that “Earholes,” the first track from the Obscuritans, is now streaming. The Obscuritans is a studio project that I started with Nick Cervini in which we make music with various artists. The first artist we’re working with is Jim Lorino, who’s also in DelCobras with us, so an argument could be made that this is a shadow DelCobras track. Where Delcobras are fun and poppy, “Earholes” is a little dark and moody like a foggy night or a David Lynch movie.

“Earworms” does have a cinematic feel to it. Do you envisage The Obscuritans as primarily being an instrumental group, or is “Earworms” more of a one-off?
Thanks! This one’s more of a one-off. Next month we’ll be releasing a song we recorded with Sam Goodman of Rescue Pets. That one has vocals!
