Just a quick note to say that I have a couple of new projects in the offing.
If you listened to last week’s episode of Abominations, you know that Jim Lorino has decided to return Scoopski to its status as a recording project rather than a live act. That said, he still loves performing live, so he’s moving forward with a new band called Delcobras (a portmanteau of “Delaware County” and “cobras,” in case you’re wondering). Delcobras consists of Jim along with former Scoopski drummer (and current Sacred Monsters drummer) Nick Cervini and myself. Our first single, “The Turnaround,” will be available on February 21 and is currently available for pre-save on all streaming services.

Coincidentally, the lineup for Delcobras is identical to the lineup in the first single from The Obscuritans, which is a studio project that Nick Cervini and I are working on. The basic idea is that Nick and are recording music and inviting various artists to work with us by contributing vocals, lyrics, or anything else they might want to share. Case in point, Nick and I recorded our first single “Earholes” as a tribute to David Lynch. At about the same time, Jim shared a fifteen-year-old video of himself introducing his then-band at a live show. Nick fiddled around with the audio a bit (to very Lynchian effect) and we worked it into the track. “Earholes” will be available on February 28 and is currently available for pre-save.

You are one busy guy, Marc! I swear, you have the energy of a 20-year-old, whereas I’m sadly now a tired, burned out and cynical old man.
Thanks, Jeff! I definitely skate up to the edge of burnout from time to time, especially in the current cultural landscape.
Congrats on your new projects, Marc, and looking forward to listening to the new songs! 🙂
Thanks, Christian!
Very excited for you! I’m glad you allow your creativity to wander freely!
Thank you!
PS: Gotta give credit where credit is due… If not for Jim and Nick, I wouldn’t be nearly as creative as I’ve been of late!
